Cleanroom & Laboratory Flooring Systems
Classified cleanrooms and aseptic suites, gowning rooms and airlocks, analytical laboratories, battery and aerospace test labs, chemical storage, and the mechanical rooms behind them. Maverick engineers seamless, low-particulate, cleanable floors with integral cove — chemical-resistant to the reagents in use, static-dissipative where the specification calls for it.
Cleanrooms, Controlled Environments & Laboratories
Pharmaceutical, semiconductor, medical device, aerospace, and electronics cleanrooms; analytical, chemical, materials, battery, and automotive test laboratories. These are the facility types this page addresses. For the production floors around the cleanroom, see the pharmaceutical & biotechnology guide.

Controlled Environments, Zone by Zone
A cleanroom building is not one application. The classified core needs a seamless, low-particulate, cleanable floor that tolerates sporicidal disinfectants. The gowning rooms and airlocks take constant foot and cart traffic. The analytical lab lives under spilled reagents and solvents. The battery or aerospace test lab takes heavy fixtures, fluids, and often an ESD requirement. The chemical storage room needs containment. The mechanical room behind the wall takes glycol and condensation. Each zone gets its own build.
Maverick builds floors for classified cleanrooms, aseptic suites, and ESD-controlled space. The static-dissipative product is MavCoat ESD, a static-dissipative urethane floor coating applied over an epoxy insulator coat and grounded to the building — surface resistance, point to point/ground, 1×105 to <1×109 ohms per ANSI/ESD STM 7.1 — for electrical assembly, circuit-board handling, avionics areas, static-sensitive manufacturing and packaging, clean rooms, and labs — installed to the owner’s ESD program. The cleanroom floor itself is seamless, coved, low-particulate, and cleanable: the floor the facility’s program can qualify.
Classified Cleanrooms & Aseptic Suites
Particulate control, sporicidal disinfection, cart traffic. A dense, seamless epoxy floor with integral cove base so the floor-to-wall transition is one cleanable surface — static-dissipative where the specification requires it.
Gowning, Airlocks & Corridors
Foot and cart traffic all shift, frequent cleaning, and the need to mark zones by color. Seamless coatings or decorative broadcast with integral cove and color demarcation at every transition.
Analytical & Testing Labs
Reagents, solvents, dropped glassware, and bench loads. Chemical-resistant epoxy matched to the reagent list — starting from the chemical-resistance chart on each product data sheet — with a slip-resistant broadcast texture where wet work demands it.
Battery, Automotive & Aerospace Test Labs
Heavy fixtures, impact, fluids, battery electrolyte, and frequently an ESD requirement. Troweled mortar under the fixtures, novolac where electrolyte is handled, MavCoat ESD where the specification calls for it.
Chemical Storage & Waste Rooms
Concentrated acids, caustics, solvents, and the containment that goes with them. Novolac epoxy over a mortar body, with curbs, trenches, and terminations detailed where containment fails.
Mechanical & Support Spaces
Chillers, glycol, condensation, and the carts and lifts that service them. A traffic-rated coating over a repaired, profiled slab — the floor nobody sees that keeps the building running.

Starting points, not prescriptions. Every Maverick system is engineered to the condition of the substrate, the abuse it takes, and the facility’s history with previous floors — the build changes from room to room and plant to plant. Only new construction over bare concrete comes close to a standard build.

Explore the SystemMavTop Decorative Broadcast
Quartz and flake broadcast for corridors, gowning, and labs — slip-resistant texture, color zoning, integral cove, sealed with MavSeal UPA.
Explore the SystemFast-Cure Flooring Options
MavCoat FC basecoat, MavSeal UPA Fast Cure, MavRapidPatch — for occupied-building phasing when the lab cannot close for long.
Explore the SystemBuilt in Our Own Plants, Installed by Our Own Crews
Maverick formulates and batches its products in our own plants, installs with our own crews, and backs every floor with a single-source warranty and a 48-hour response. Cleanroom and laboratory builds are engineered to the owner’s ESD program, the reagent list, and the sanitation chemistry — not pulled from a price sheet. The chemical-resistance chart on each product data sheet is where the reagent conversation starts.

Cleanroom Flooring Questions, Answered Straight
What makes a cleanroom floor cleanable and low-particulate?
A monolithic resin floor with no joints or seams, an integral cove base at the walls so the floor-to-wall transition is one continuous surface, and a dense, non-porous finish that does not shed and does not hold residue. Maverick builds that with seamless MavCoat epoxy coatings over a prepared slab, with the finish selected for the disinfectants in use. That is the floor Maverick builds for classified cleanrooms and aseptic suites.
Do you install ESD floors?
Yes, where the specification calls for it. Maverick’s published static-dissipative product is MavCoat ESD, a static-dissipative urethane floor coating applied over an epoxy insulator coat and grounded to the building — surface resistance, point to point/ground, 1×10^5 to <1×10^9 ohms per ANSI/ESD STM 7.1 — for electrical assembly, circuit-board handling, avionics areas, static-sensitive manufacturing and packaging, clean rooms, and labs. Maverick installs it to the owner’s ESD program, with integral cove and seamless transitions like every other Maverick floor.
Which floor stands up to laboratory reagents and solvents?
It depends on the chemistry and dwell time. MavCoat CRE chemical-resistant epoxy offers superior chemical resistance over standard epoxies for general analytical labs. Chemical storage, waste rooms, and battery electrolyte areas step up to MavCoat NV novolac epoxy, which resists concentrated acids including 98% sulfuric acid, typically over a ¼″ MavClad EM mortar body. We specify to the reagent list, not the room name, starting from the chemical-resistance chart on each product data sheet.
Can you phase the work in an occupied research building?
Yes. Labs, corridors, and support rooms are phased so the building keeps operating, with zero-VOC options such as MavCoat CRE and MavCoat NV where odor matters, and fast-cure options — MavCoat FC basecoat and MavSeal UPA Fast Cure — where the window is measured in hours. Tell us the shutdown sequence and we will engineer the build and crew plan to fit inside it.
