Commercial, Retail & Hospitality Flooring Systems

Retail showrooms, grocery stores, commercial restaurants and commissary kitchens, hotels and casinos, sports stadiums and arenas, veterinary hospitals and kennels, and the apartment complexes with garages and laundry rooms underneath them. The front of house has to look right; the back of house has to survive hot washdown and pallet jacks; and most of it has to be installed between close and open. Maverick engineers each zone to its own exposure and its own window.

Overnight Turnarounds Decorative & Durable Front & Back of House

Front of House, Back of House

A commercial building is several floors under one roof. The showroom is judged on appearance and the prep room on washdown; the pool deck on wet-foot traction and the parking level on road salt. We match the body, the texture, and the topcoat to each zone instead of specifying one system for the address.

The typical build runs from MavCoat Metallic or MavTop decorative broadcast on sales floors and lobbies, to thermal-shock-rated MavCrete urethane cement in kitchens, prep rooms, and laundries, to slip-resistant quartz broadcast on pool decks and concession lines, to flake broadcast under a MavSeal UPA topcoat in residential garages — with fast-cure options engineered in wherever the floor has to reopen by morning.

Retail Sales Floors & Showrooms

Retail showrooms, department stores, big-box retailers, home improvement stores, and office lobbies. MavCoat Metallic for a seamless signature floor where appearance sells; MavTop decorative broadcast where carts, pallet jacks, and foot traffic demand texture under the color.

Grocery Back-of-House & Commissaries

Grocery stores, supermarkets, wholesale retail clubs, commissary kitchens, and centralized food preparation facilities: prep rooms, meat and seafood, bakery, walk-in coolers, and receiving. MavCrete urethane cement with integral cove, built for fats, brines, and hot washdown. See the commercial kitchen guide.

Restaurants & Hotel Kitchens

Commercial, fast-casual, and quick-service restaurants, ghost kitchens, food courts, and commercial hospitality kitchens behind hotels, casinos, and conference centers. Seamless, coved urethane cement replaces failed quarry tile — typically installed between the last cover and the first.

Hospitality Laundries & Pool Decks

Hospitality laundry facilities, swimming pool facilities, aquatic centers, and resort service buildings. Hot water and detergents in the laundry; wet-foot traffic and UV on the deck. Slip-resistant quartz broadcast under a UV-stable MavSeal UPA topcoat, coved at the wall and detailed to drain. Maverick builds the deck and the service floors, not the pool shell.

Stadium & Arena Concourses & Concessions

Sports stadiums, arenas, convention centers, concert venues, and entertainment venues: concourses, concession stands, commissaries, loading docks, and locker rooms. MavTop decorative broadcast in team colors on the concourse; MavCrete urethane cement behind the concession counter; phased around the event calendar.

Animal Care & Multifamily Service Spaces

Veterinary hospitals, kennels, animal shelters, and animal boarding facilities need seamless, coved floors that stand up to sanitizers and casters — see the animal facility guide. Multifamily residential buildings need the same discipline below grade: residential parking garages, laundry rooms, and basements where road salt and slab moisture govern the build.

Starting points, not prescriptions. Every Maverick system is engineered to the condition of the substrate, the abuse it takes, and the facility’s history with previous floors — the build changes from room to room and plant to plant. Only new construction over bare concrete comes close to a standard build.

One Company From Batch to Broom-Clean

Maverick formulates and batches its own products in our own plants, installs them with our own crews, and carries a single-source warranty on materials and labor. For a retailer, an operator, or a property manager that means one party owns the color match on the sales floor, the cove in the prep room, and the moisture reading in the garage — with a 48-hour response when something needs attention.

Commercial work runs on operating hours. Maverick engineers the sequence around close-to-open windows, event calendars, and occupied buildings: a cook line rebuilt between the last cover and the first, a concourse phased between home dates, a showroom finished overnight under fast-cure options. Degreasers, sanitizers, and beverage acids are matched against the chemical-resistance chart on each product data sheet before the topcoat is specified.

Specify It Once, Correctly

The Architect Center carries the full standard detail library, isometric system shop drawings, and CSI 3-part specifications under Section 09 67 23 Resinous Flooring. Decorative builds are specified by color, texture, and topcoat as well as by body, and the Color Charts carry the MavTop and MavCoat Metallic ranges.

Commercial Questions, Answered Straight

Can a retail or restaurant floor be installed overnight?

Often, yes. Fast cure is not a separate Maverick system; it is an option set engineered into whichever floor the zone calls for: a MavSeal UPA Fast Cure or MavSeal RCU polyurea topcoat with 3-hour foot-traffic return, a MavCoat FC fast-cure epoxy basecoat, and MavRapidPatch repairs that take foot traffic in 10 minutes. A sales floor or a cook line can go down between close and open, and a larger space is phased in sections so the business never stops trading.

What is the right floor for a grocery prep room or a hotel kitchen?

MavCrete UM cementitious urethane mortar, typically at ¼″ with an integral cove base. It is thermal shock resistant through 250°F washdown, so hot water, fryer spills, and cooler-door cycling do not debond it the way they loosen quarry tile grout. MavCrete UM-SL carries the same chemistry where a flatness spec governs. The build is engineered to the condition of the slab under the old floor, which is only known once that floor is up.

Will a decorative floor hold up under carts and crowds?

A MavTop decorative broadcast is a working floor first: a urethane-cement or epoxy body broadcast with quartz, flake, stone, or chips and locked under a MavSeal UPA polyaspartic topcoat, with the texture tuned to the zone — finer on a dry showroom, more aggressive on a wet concession line or pool deck. MavCoat Metallic is a coating over a sound slab for sales floors and lobbies where appearance governs and traffic is foot and light cart. The body under the color is chosen for the abuse, not the look.

Do you do pool decks and animal-care floors?

Yes. On a pool deck or in an aquatic center, Maverick builds the surround: slip-resistant quartz broadcast under a UV-stable topcoat, coved at the wall and detailed to drain, with the texture set for wet bare feet. The pool shell itself is not a floor system and is not part of the build. In veterinary hospitals, kennels, and shelters the floor is seamless and coved so sanitizers and casters have no joint to attack; the animal facility guide covers that build in detail.
